Reiki in Solihull
Reiki is a subtle, but powerful and relaxing treatment that aims to put the ‘life-force’ back in to the body or balance it emotionally, where needed. Reiki is a Japanese word meaning Universal Life Energy. It is based on the idea that an unseen "life force energy" flows through us. When the life-force is low, the likelihood of illness or stress increases.
Rob Buckle is a Reiki Master and Reiki Master-Teacher. This means he has gained the highest degrees possible in the Reiki qualification process and is also qualified to train and pass on 'attunements' to others wishing to learn the healing art of Reiki, either for use on themselves or others.
Testimonial:
“I was only really after treatment to help me be more relaxed, however after 3 treatments I realised that a condition called pulsitis (pulsatile tinnitus), which I’d had for a number of years had disappeared! I knew it couldn’t just be coincidence! I most certainly would recommend Rob Buckle, and indeed I have - purely and simply because Rob’s Reiki works!" (Steph, South Birmingham)

Natural, Energy Rebalancing
Reiki is the name given to a system of natural healing which evolved in Japan from the experience and dedication of Dr Mikao Usui (d. 1926). Fired by a burning question, Dr Usui was inspired to develop this healing system from ancient teachings after many years of study, research and meditation. He spent the rest of his life practising and teaching Reiki.
Today Reiki continues to be taught by Reiki Masters who have trained in the tradition passed down from Master to student. There is no belief system attached to Reiki so anyone can receive or learn to give a Reiki treatment, the only prerequisite is the desire to be healed.
A Reiki Treatment
The method of receiving a Reiki treatment from a practitioner is a very simple process. The recipient simply lies on a couch and relaxes. If they are unable to lie down the treatment can be given in a sitting position, the main thing is for the recipient to be as comfortable as possible. There is no need to remove any clothing as Reiki will pass through anything, even plaster casts. The practitioner gently places their hands non-intrusively in a sequence of positions which cover the whole body. The whole person is treated rather than specific symptoms.
The Reiki energy rebalances the body’s natural energy system, including the chakras and the meridians.
A full treatment usually takes around 45 minutes with each position held for several minutes
Which conditions can Reiki help?
It is possible to work at any level of being: physical, mental, emotional or spiritual. Acute injuries can be helped very quickly but more chronic illness takes longer. In some cases such as terminal illness, there is not enough time for the progress of the disease to be reversed. However, in such cases there is usually great benefit and enhancement of the quality of life giving a sense of peace and acceptance during the time remaining.
Reiki healing can be given anywhere at any time as no special equipment is needed. The practitioner is a channel which the energy is drawn through by the need or imbalance in the recipient. Reiki flows to the areas of need, soothing pain and supporting the body's natural ability to heal itself. Reiki restores balance to a person's life.
Reiki supports all forms of treatment both orthodox and complementary.

Reiki FAQs
What Can You expect at a Reiki treatment?
Reiki is an unintrusive, relaxing therapy. I use a mostly non-contact form of Reiki, but may occasionally lay on hands for more focused work on known problem areas.
Prior to a first treatment I will conduct a health, diet and lifestyle consultation. This usually takes about 10 minutes and is to help establish what your main reason for you seeking treatment is and if there are any reasons why the treatment might not be appropriate for you. All information recorded will be treated in accordance with the Data Protection Act and will remain totally confidential.
Once the consultation is complete, you will get ready for the main treatment.
What should I wear?
It is best to wear loose, comfortable clothes, so that you can relax more easily.
Do you use a massage couch or a reclining chair?
For Reiki. I use a massage couch, which is also very comfortable, but allows the client to lie flat, at a height that is comfortable to administer the Reiki.
How many treatments will I need?
This depends on the reason for seeking treatment. If it just for stress relief, then one or two treatments may be sufficient, but for most conditions a course of at least 4-6 treatments is recommended.
How long does a Reiki Treatment take?
30 minute and 60 minute sessions are available
Please note - a first treatment will usually take an extra 10/15 mins, as it will include a medical consultation.
If you book a combination session, ie with reflexology or Indian Head Massage as well as Reiki, the session will usually be approximately 90 minutes.
How much does a Reiki treatment cost?
A 30 minute session is £28
A one hour session is £45
A block of 4 (one hour) Reiki sessions is £155
The 3 levels of degree for Reiki Practitioners:
The First Degree Attunement is focused on opening up the physical body so that it
can accept or channel greater quantities of like force energy. The four attunements of the
First Degree raise the vibratory rate of the four energy centers of the upper parts of the
body. Sealing the channel open, so that you can maintain the accelerated ability to
channel the Reiki energy for the rest of your life completes the process. Once you are
attuned to the Reiki energy, you can never lose it. In the first degree, you learn the basics
of Reiki and the importance of healing the self before all else.
The Second Degree Attunement process provides a quantum leap in vibratory level, at
least four times greater than First Degree. The symbols that are taught in Second Degree
are used in absentee and long-distance healings, and become activated at this point.
Second degree has great emphasis on adjusting the etheric body, rather than the physical
body, which is the primary focus of first degree. The Second Degree class is where we
focus on using Reiki to heal others and learn the very sacred use of the Reiki Symbols.
The Third Degree Attunement is used to initiate a Master. This attunement again
amplifies the vibratory level and activates the Master symbol so it may be used to help
others empower themselves. A Reiki Master is simply someone who has chosen to
accept a greater level of responsibility for his or her life by acknowledging that he or
she is indeed a Master of his or her own destiny. A Reiki Master Teacher, teaches how
to pass on the attunements to others.
